We have the pleasure to communicate you that Julio Verne School is the coordinator centre of the project 4LIFE (For Literacy and Inclusion through Fun and Edutainment), co-funded by the European Union Erasmus+ Program

The above-mentioned project will be developed internationally for two years. Julio Verne School will be leading and coordinating the agenda, actions and activities what will take place throughout the project, together with five collaborating schools.

The key outcome for this project is the development of inclusion in the classroom trough reading and writing skills.

Drama and Buddy Reading method.

The Spanish education system is divided into four stage and our school covers the four of them. We have got 660 students and 52 teachers, plus administrative stuff, kitchen employees, caretakers.

The school follows a bilingual system in English with Spanish curriculum. English immersion is scaled differently at different stages.

We think different languages open doors to our students toward their future. A second and a third language is taught in our school. Second foreign language is French, and they study it from 3rd Primary to 4th ESO. German, our third language, is taught as an optional subject from 3rd grade.

All our classrooms are equipped with the latest trends in new technologies digital whiteboard, computers or tablets in the classroom from, one-to-one computer.

We work to enhance the 21st-century skills and competencies, and we use English, as a vehicle for Science, Physical Education, P.E., music and visual arts.

We focus on constant innovation in education, encouraging teachers to perform, promote and participate in research projects.
