We have the pleasure to communicate you that Julio Verne School is the coordinator centre of the project 4LIFE (For Literacy and Inclusion through Fun and Edutainment), co-funded by the European Union Erasmus+ Program

The above-mentioned project will be developed internationally for two years. Julio Verne School will be leading and coordinating the agenda, actions and activities what will take place throughout the project, together with five collaborating schools.

The key outcome for this project is the development of inclusion in the classroom trough reading and writing skills.

Drama and Buddy Reading method.

Yusuf Savaş llkokulu is a pre-primary plus primary school that is situated in a seaside town called Darıca in Turkey. We have 210 pupils aged between 5 and 10. We have eight classroom teachers, one English teacher, two kindergarten teachers, one guidance teacher and two administration staff in our school.

We started to use drama, cooperative learning and buddy method after we experienced and learned these methods in our Erasmus + project partner schools. We will share these methods with all partners in our new project. Our school is motivated to learn good practices in other schools in Europe to teach literacy skills and willing to train other schools’ staff on the methods we have been using. Our motivation is to develop our skills and point of view concerning using technology, games, and action as methods in teaching literacy skills and diversity, communication skills in both mother tongue and English of the school staff and pupils. We are also motivated to learn techniques and good practices on how to provide active inclusion in our skills and point of view concerning using technology, games, and action as methods in teaching literacy skills and diversity, communication skills in both mother tongue and English of the school staff and pupils. We are also motivated to learn techniques and good practices on how to provide active inclusion in our school as we have around 50 pupils with cultural- educational differences, social-economic obstacles and refugees in our school. We are motivated to use literacy improvement activities to develop social inclusion and inclusion in education.
